Indispensable, but achievable: Energy from sun and wind.
Sun and wind are the keys to the energy future. They reduce our dependence on fossil fuels such as gas, oil and coal and offer a sustainable alternative that can actively combat climate change. These renewable resources are available to us in unlimited quantities and are essential for a future worth living.
With the EEG amendment, also known as the “Easter package”, the German government has taken a significant step towards the energy transition. The expansion of renewable energies was defined as an “overriding public interest” and a “service to public safety”. The aim is to cover at least 80% of gross electricity consumption with renewable energies by 2030 and to make electricity generation almost greenhouse-neutral by 2035 in order to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees.
The package of measures promotes the expansion of renewable energies both on land and at sea. It includes the provision of new areas for photovoltaics, the use of low-wind locations and greater involvement of local authorities in wind and solar projects.
At ToRa Lausitz, we see ourselves as experts in implementing these ambitious goals. Together with our network, our cooperation partners and all those who want to make their contribution to a sustainable future, we are actively shaping the energy transition.
Because we are convinced that renewable energies are indispensable – and that they can be achieved together.
